Bird Nets
The use of a netting barrier is one of the most effective and long-lasting ways of proofing buildings and other structures against all urban birds. Bird Net is made from high density, ultra-violet stabilised polyethylene it is chemically inert, rot proof and is highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals and environmental conditions.
Point Systems (Spikes)
Point systems are now very widely used against feral pigeons or both Feral Pigeons and Gulls. They comprise of UV-protected plastic bases into which are inserted stainless wires or all polycarbonate spikes which has a unique, translucent quality, totally absorbing all background colour.
Birdwire Systems
This is a very versatile system, consisting of a thin spring tensioned, stainless steel wire supported by steel posts which are fixed into the stonework and there is also a "stick-on" version, where drilling cannot be employed. Special fixings for the gutters, beams, rails, pipes, and ridge tiles are also available.
Bird Barrier Coil
This is an extendible coil designed to be stretched out over long areas such as ledges, parapets, ridges, girders, and signs. It is one of the most economical systems available. It is effective against Feral Pigeons
Bristle Strips
Bristle Strip can be fitted to the tops and bottoms of doors to prevent birds and rodents gaining access to buildings. Pop riveting is the normal method of attachment.
Electroscare and other Bird Scaring Products
Some birds can be susceptible to scaring techniques, using distress calls. The Electroscare system uses solid state memory chips of the distress calls for some Gulls, and Corvids for use in certain situations.
